France / Bordeaux / Saint-Emilion Rouge / Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion

Saint-Émilion has four satellite areas: Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion, Lussac-Saint-Émilion, Saint-Georges-Saint-Émilion, and Montagne-Saint-Émilion. These cover distinct, slightly smaller areas immediately northeast of Saint-Émilion, and each has its own independent appellation title.

2015 Château des Laurets Baron Cuvée Sélection Parcellaire from Compagnie Vinicole Baron Edmond de Rothschild presents an intense deep purple colour.
The nose features overtones of blackberry, cherry pits, and vanilla. It has a myriad of aromas and displays a rare elegance.
This 100% Merlot, made to age for a very long time, is of outstanding aromatic complexity. It has delicious blackberry and cherry flavours as well as a great body, and a fine structure enhanced by oak ageing for long cellaring.
This powerfull wine with refined tannin can age for 15-20 years.

Andreas Larsson tasting notes: "Dense dark purple hue. Youthful nose, earthy notes with dark fruit, plum, cassis and liquorice. Still a bit closed on the palate but good proportions, dense dark fruit, integrated oak, high but ripe tannin, spicy liquorice and clove notes with good length. Still young and tight but should develop nicely.

Blend:
100% Merlot.
