The estate is not yet certified but is working towards obtaining certification in the coming years
In 1980, Pierre Rebourseau handed over the reins to his grandson, Jean de Surrel, who made a shift to organic and biodynamic viticulture at the estate. In 2017, a generational change occurred, and as part of this transition, the French industrialists Olivier and Martin Bouygues, owners of Bordeaux's famous Château Montrose (2nd Growth) in Saint Estèphe, became co-owners. They bought a controlling share of the domaine, reportedly worth €45 million.
This brought new standards, but the day-to-day operations continued to be managed by the two sons, Bénigne and Louis de Surrel until 2024.
