2011 Chateau Saint-Pierre 4. Cru
France / Bordeaux / Medoc / Haut-Medoc / Saint-Julien 4. Cru Rouge
2011 Château Saint-Pierre (4th Growth): Blended with 81% of Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is full-bodied, tannic with a dark dress with violet hints. On the palate, the attack is round. The wine is a little bit stout but generous and fruity. The finish is elegant with a good length.
Expert tasting notes: "Deep, dark, almost opaque, ruby-red color. Aromas are of mulberry, cedar, and tobacco leaf. The palate is classically cedary and as with the nose mulberry is wreathed by tobacco leaf, clean oak, and perhaps a touch of cinnamon spice. The wine has good freshness, balanced alcohol and there is fair length. This is a nice clean, balanced, classic example of a Saint- Julien".
Blend:
81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc.
