2013 Chateau du Tertre 5. Cru
France / Bordeaux / Medoc / Haut-Medoc / Margaux 5. Cru Rouge
The first tastings of 2013 Château du Tertre 5th Growth shows a straight, fruity character of the Cabernet Sauvignon offering a fine and taut tannic framework with good length.
Marked by strong climatic characteristics, 2013 will remain a vintage that required great efforts, with permanent work in the vineyard matched with great vigilance on the part of the technical teams, to bring it to a successful conclusion.
The Wine Cellar Insider/Jeff Leve tasting notes (July 2017): "Light in color and fruit, the wine is already starting to show some secondary characteristics. Light, but fresh and sweet, drink this now for its fresh, sweet, red berry, and peppery character. The wine was made from blending 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot. The amount of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend for this vintage is a record for the property".
