Château de la Maltroye Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Boudriotte
Burghound.com/Allen Meadows 91-93/100 + Sweet Spot: "Moderate wood influence is present an the peppery, softly spicy and distinctly earthy aromas that blend dark currant with hints ot cherry. The super-sleek, delicious and appealingly textured medium weight flavors possess excellent density and plenty of punch that carries over to the youthfully austere, complex and youthfully austere finale that displays sneaky good length. This is lovely and recommended".
La Boudriotte is a small Premier Cru vineyard site of the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation in Burgundy. Located just southeast of Chassagne-Montrachet village, this gently sloping, eastfacing vineyard may produce red wines from Pinot Noir and white wines from Chardonnay.
La Boudriotte lies within the grounds of Morgeot Abbey and is one of over 20 subdivisions of the more famous Morgeot Premier Cru. Its wines are more often labeled with the latter designation – as is permitted under the appellation laws.
