A full-bodied, almost masculine Santenots from the feminine Volnay. Another perfect hit from Laurent, which pairs beautifully with the vintage's fine lightness. Aromas of dark plums, raspberries, and lavender. The taste is pleasantly fruity, with well-integrated oak notes in fine balance with the acidity and tannins. The aromas repeat, adding a hint of tobacco. Finesse lingers in the final swirl of the aftertaste.
