2022 Albert Grivault Meursault 1er Cru Perrieres

The word "Perrières" indicates the presence of old quarries. Chassagne stone was once mined in this area.
The Perrières consists of two vineyard plots totaling 1ha 54 a 59 ca. Albert Grivault is the main owner in this appellation which extends over 13ha (28 owners). The soil is comprised of brown, clayey, and sandy limestone in almost equal proportions. The vineyard is on a hillside facing south-southwest.
The average age of the vines in 2019 was 35 years old. It produces approximately 9,300 bottles annually (average over 20 years).
This wine is also a regular participant in the Tastevinage and the Vinalies Nationales competition. The 2015 Perrières was a "Major" (exceptional wine) of the 101st Tastevinage at the Château du Clos de Vougeot.
Ageing in barrels, some of which are new depending on the vintage.
