Burghound.com/Allen Meadows tasting notes + "Sweet Spot" (June 2024): "Cool, pure, and very pretty aromas are comprised by notes of freshly sliced green apple, petrol, and a blend of spice scents. There is both fine richness and volume to the solidly concentrated and intensely mineral-driven middleweight plus flavors that conclude in a youthfully austere, balanced and sleek finale. This is really quite classy and while better depth would be nice, more should almost certainly develop if given a chance. 2032+".
Les Grandes Ruchottes has quite a steep slope, particularly in the context of Chassagne-Montrachet, and the vines benefit from an exposure toward the morning sunshine.
Les Grandes Ruchottes is technically a sub-division of the La Grand Montagne climat, so its wines are also permitted to claim the Grande Montagne name on labels.
