Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Chênes Carteaux, with an area of an hectare, is located at the south of Les Vaucrains and above Les Saint-Georges. This steep slope that extends between 260 and 300 meters of altitude is made of yellowish brown soils, liqht and sandy.
Vintage 2022 shows a mid ruby purple. Despite the low yields this is very accessible in fruit style. Really quite elegant with a greater depth of fruit further back on the palate. The raspberry fruit covers the tannins and hides the acidity. Fine length again. Drink from 2030-2038.
