2022 Domaine Parent Pommard 1er Cru Les Chaponnieres

Pommard 1er Cru Les Chaponnières from Domaine Parent is a generous wine with good substance and a balanced structure, surrounded by a gourmet and fleshy fruity taste.
The nose is spicy, with raspberry and cherry hints, together with a touch of liquorice.
The mouth is very rich with elegant and velvety tannins, and has a good length.
 
Appellation: Pommard 1er Cru.
Vinestock: Pinot Noir.
Soils: Clay-limestone.
Harvesting: By hand, and strict sorting on 2 sorting tables, one of which is vibrating.
Wine-making: Stalking, cold maceration for about 3-5 days, temperature control, soft crushing and pumping over 2 to 3 times a day, total fermentation on skins: 16-20 days according to vintages.
Maturing: 14-18 months in French oak barrels, 30-40% of which are new, bottled at the winery.

Jacques Parent has handed over the domaine to his daughters Anne and Catherine.
Domaine Parent obtained organic certification in 2013 (ECOCERT Certification).
