On the slope of the Haardt hills in Pfalz, lies the Haardt parcel. The soil consists of a layer of red sandstone resting on a substrate of chalk marl. This provides perfect growth conditions for Chardonnay vines, resulting in wines with elegant reduction and delicate saline notes. 
Aromas of citrus, ripe yellow apples, peach, and apricot waft from the glass. The taste is lightly spicy with hints of white pepper, and once again, aromas of yellow stone fruits.
The use of barriques imparts a velvety texture, with sensations of smoke and barrel before the relatively long finish.
